THE BIOGRAPHY
Born in Aichi in 1951. Becomes involved in independent filmmaking as a student of Kobe University. Discovers Stan Brakhage in 1974 and steps into the world of individual experimental images. Engages in constructing a petrochemical complex in Iran in 1978. Returns to Japan a year later due to the Khomeinī revolution. Joins the kick off of Voyant Cinémathèque in 1983. Leads the image exhibition based on individual and new work
