THE BIOGRAPHY

Born in Redruth, Cornwall, to Gerald, a solicitor, and his wife, Jeanne (nee Vollar), Peter was the third of seven siblings. His father died when Peter was young, and the family relocated to Brixton, south London, and later Surrey.
