Celly Campello, artistic name of CĂ©lia Campello Gomes Chacon (born CĂ©lia Benelli Campello; SĂŁo Paulo, June 18, 1942 â Campinas, March 4, 2003), was a Brazilian singer, songwriter, actress and multi-instrumentalist, considered the precursor of rock in Brazil, popularizing the twist dance in the country. Due to the success of one of his songs, he participated in the soap opera EstĂșpido Cupido.
