Whit Kunschik was born in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. She is of Native American, Czechoslovakian and Swedish descent. Raised in a small town with her mother, step-father, and two sisters, her love for film began at a young age when she received her first video camera at the age of 11, piquing her curiosity into filmmaking.
