Malak Mohamed is an Egyptian singer. She rose to fame in the 1920 and 1930s, and was the first female singer in Egypt to also compose music and play the lute. She participated in musical plays through Amin Sedqy's theater group. She also performed several operettes, including “Safinat Alghagar” (Gypsie's Ship), “Bint Al Hattab” (The Lumberjack's Daughter) and “Bolbol”.
